Terms of Service — Poodle Scanner
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Marco Polo Research Lab ("MPR Lab", "we", "our", "us") for access to and use of Poodle Scanner (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Account Use
- You must be legally able to enter into contracts to use the Service.
- If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
- You are responsible for maintaining access to your Google account used for authentication and for all activity under your account.
2. Service Description
Poodle Scanner provides tools for product page retrieval, scoring analysis, historical comparisons, and exports. Some features (including schedules, notifications, or pricing options) may change over time.
3. Acceptable Use
- Use the Service only for lawful business purposes.
- Comply with applicable third-party terms and platform rules for any sites or content you scan.
- Do not attempt to interfere with service availability, security, or other users.
- Do not upload or transmit malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or abuse APIs and automation limits.
4. User Content and Data
You retain rights to data you upload (including product identifiers and rule settings). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data as needed to provide and secure the Service.
You are responsible for confirming that your use of source websites and uploaded content is permitted. Privacy and data handling details are in the Privacy Policy.
5. Pricing, Credits, and Payments
Pricing is displayed at /pricing and may be updated prospectively. Scan-related actions may consume credits according to in-product pricing indicators; rescoring from saved HTML may be treated differently as described in-product.
If paid checkout is enabled, payment processing may be provided by Paddle or another authorized payment provider. Payment providers may act as merchant of record and apply their own checkout terms, taxes, and compliance controls.
6. Refund Policy
For usage-credit operations, the Service may automatically restore or refund credits for eligible technical failures according to product behavior. For direct monetary charges processed at checkout, refund eligibility follows the checkout terms, applicable law, and any written plan terms provided at purchase time.

7. Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third-party services (for example authentication, hosting, telemetry, support widgets, billing/ledger infrastructure, and payment processing). We are not responsible for downtime or actions of those third parties beyond our contractual obligations.
8. Availability and Changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including to improve security, comply with legal obligations, or maintain platform integrity.
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version with a new effective date. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
9. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service software, design, and related materials are proprietary to Marco Polo Research Lab and licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Scan outputs are informational and may be affected by source-site behavior, network conditions, or configured rules.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marco Polo Research Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from use of the Service.
